As I sit and gaze at the setting sun
I can still see your silhouette
But as beautiful as the site may be
To you it compares to none…

I sit outside at night and
Stare at the stars above
I see them shine so brightly
As did the eyes of my love…

But as I lay my tired soul
Down to rest
I look and see that what is
Gone, certainly was the best…

As the days pass with such speed
On running into the other
Every moment that I endure
Is filled with my friend, my lover…

Though you may not be near
Or close to have and to hold
For my life shared with you
My heart you did mold…

But with all the tears and hurt
That I may have from the past
I know and feel one thing
My love for you shall last.

this poem was very good i love the rythmn and the rhyme scheme..

my favorite part was:

that line just hit me deep... this poem has soo much feeling
