Runaway girl
Why not?
Nothing is keeping you here
Your love couldn't bind you
if you tried
even your heartbeat
is running away from her
go ahead
live you lie
between the lines
no one will notice
the etchmarks of unhappiness
chiseled into the laugh lines
What do you mean she means so much to you?
So do:
clothes, cars, money, pasttimes
You'd leave them behind
to find yourself
a dream
Right?
Falsetto?
You know
the pitch she moans your name in
the way you fill the blanks in
the dream you keep hoping you're hoopin
but always wake up before the buzzer ends
Go ahead.
Runaway girl.
