My children fill me with so much joy
Through their eyes, I see hope for tomorrow
I love the sound of their elated laughs
It uplifts my soul, leaving no room for sorrow
Each child has their own laugh reflecting their personality
It can sometimes sound rhapsodic
As I stare at them enamored by all of this
The next thing I know, I too feel ecstatic
Not to mention, the roars of laughter we all share when baby girl begins to dance
Baby boy stands watching, noticing the attention his sister receives
He decides it is time for him to get loose and seize his chance
The other two dare not cut a two step, for they have their Daddy’s lack of rhythm
They are none too pleased about it to say the least
Wondering why it was a characteristic he would give them
Their beautiful faces all cheerful and glowing
Definite Kodak moments to remember, reminisce, and capture on a picture
I cherish these priceless little people, this gifted man and I have made
So proud of them, I become teary-eyed, wanting to block the river as does a stricture
Some mothers may tell their children how pregnancy warped their body, causing them to feel uptight
I’m not like some of them, I bless the days I carried each one of them
They only enhanced my every curve in the best areas just right !!
To each one of my precious and wondrous treasures, know that your mommy loves you always and forever
Your daddy’s eyes solidify he feels the same way, you came from love not lust
The inseparable bond forged, which no one on earth will ever be able to sever
