Somewhere in my past
I was lit
Then left to burn
Burnt
My remains were tossed on the floor
And trampled underfoot
But a spark of me survived

Right here in the present
The scorching memories,
For an instant, returned
Like someone forgot to close the door of hell

Mid sentence
The impact shattered my thoughts
Scattering them in every corner of my skull

My lips opened
But silence remained unbroken
My mind numbed
By the blast from the past

Nice expression....the past dose have a way of repeating it self....that is why we must learn from mistakes of the past.
peace and blessings
