The Wishing Well: A Snapshot of Love Caught In The Time Continuum.

as I look into the abyss, I pause to take notice,
the waves are moving, darkness travels to light,
the sound is impeccable, the night, the day,
fog settling from my breath, resting upon the impression,
that the moon leaves into the sky.

I look up. Pause… I take notice.

as the intrigue begins to increase, I wonder when she approaches,
the tides that are created by my fidelity, causing the cold to move swiftly,
perspiration now becomes implicated in the crime taking place,
the thief is known, the words are few, but the penalty is just,
contemplative over the price, I again wonder when?

I look up. Pause… I take notice.

as my parallel draws nigh upon me, I decide to finally make me move,
the continuous thrashing of the waves, I imagine what the earth must think,
of her soft pedals creating a path like Moses, separation takes place with every step,
moving swiftly, the cold is starting to settle, I hesitate, I am at peace, I must go,
the hour is approaching, the moon is yelling, the water is starting to calm.

I look up. Pause… I take notice.

as she reaches the final destination, her final steps, create murmurs within my heart,
the decision to pay the well is here, I must take it out, and impress upon my heart,
my desires must now emerge, my obsession, is now the known cause for the animation,
it comes out, stealing the light the moon once had, I draw it upon my fidelity,
taking the perceived grip, I wonder if the price I must now pay the well is worth it.

Pause… I look up. She is so close.

the water begins to recede from her pedals, her motions are now based upon my actions,
the cold creeps up against my neck, the water is calm, the moon begins to yell again,
the cold artifact becomes set within my hands, I cling to my final nervousness,
the known penalty is death to loneliness, the prize is her, the price I now must give to the well,
it leaves with swiftness, enchanting the moon with reflections of light it lets off in the air.

Splash…
I make a wish.

she now moves into my inner circle, her moment causes passion and desire to flourish within our souls,
the sweet scent of her body, encompasses the desires within my heart, my mind elated, I move into her,
the kisses, the conversation, the loneliness now betrayed by the love that presents itself,
loud as the moon, and as the artifact that I once had, loud as the cry from the well to the eternals above,
granting what was asked, wanted, needed, desired, yearned, envied for so long.

Pause… the wish was granted.

as the years go by, the days and nights collect upon the porch of our new life together, I often wonder,
has the interior of the well now been decayed? has the water finally mystified like the fog,
once materialized from my mouth? the constant pondering over unseen moments of intimacy with the well,
the thoughts of rivers flowing through her pedals are now lost, has death finally came to the well?
has the price been paid, or is the well no more? Oh, what has become of the wishing well?
the moments of our love become the reflections of the eternal, and diverse song of the well,
with, thoughts now perversions in my mind, I take on the aged body that once hung his life,
upon the artifact, and race to find the soul of his true love, trembling, scared, crying,
as I looked upon the hill of content, thinking of her love, leaving with the tides that departed her pedals,
when she approached me decades ago, wondering, inquisitive, compassionate, caring, learning.

Pause… the chi of it all is still there.

the well was still there in all of its beauty, gracious as before, not weathered by decades,
of unseen wishes, hungry kisses, untold stories of passion and desire, new loves which were imagined,
like the moments I spent looking at her approaching, when her pedals graced the river from under them,
the well has endured many, few were unfortunate, as I traveled around noticing the artifacts,
which were never paid, buried into our mother’s bosom, excitement now reigned within my heart.

the race to see how the flower still blooms was daunting, the moment to see her again was original,
so as the days went on…now I place my final wish upon the well, the chi of our love,
as I look again into the abyss, I pause to take notice, the waves are still moving, darkness traveling to light,
the wish is made unto the eternal in heavens, that the well now carry us into the clouds of the universe,
and continue to spread the moments of inspiration to the world that we will look upon.

The End.
